The practice of faith in a dismissive world: A recent British Social Attitudes Survey found that the number of people who say they have no religion now significantly outweighs the Christian population. This study day will look at some of the reasons behind this collapse in belief and church attendance, and explore how, out of this malaise, a deeper practice of faith may be discovered, and a different kind of knowing may be glimpsed. Led by Patrick Woodhouse, a writer and Anglican priest. Saturday 18 March, 10am – 4pm, with a light lunch provided. Suggested donation: £25.
