Apostleship of the Sea

Many thanks to everyone who has knitted hats for the Apostleship of the Sea. In the last 6 months we have sent over 50 hats to the AoS chaplain at the Port of Sunderland. Many of the seamen, who visit the port bringing us food and goods, are woefully ill-prepared for the cold. The hats are taken on board and offered to the seamen as a gesture of our support and gratitude. The chaplaincy also provides other warm clothing, practical help and advice, and a place for prayer.
