West Durham Family of churches have been invited to celebrate Easter at Ushaw to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the foundation of Douai College: Ushaw’s predecessor in Flanders.
The 450 th anniversary of Ushaw college has meant that all the Holy Week liturgy is held there instead of in local churches of the west Durham Family. All ” Cuddys lads” (as Ushaw priests were called) will rejoice at that, but its a pity those unable to go there are deprivednof traditional familiar services in the usual accessible locations as before!
