Does an individual have to be a catholic to receive a Sacrement of the Sick?
Where and how is this carried out given the current situation and with social isolation (no social contact) in place?
The Sacrament of the Sick can only be celebrated with someone who is a baptised member of the Catholic Church. But we can offer prayerful support to anyone who asks. We can’t visit those who are self-isolating, but the Bishops’ Conference has published guidelines for the celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick in other circumstances.
