Appeal for Ukrainian Refugees

A message from Fr Andrew Louth of Durham’s Orthodox Christian community: We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of those around us. We are immensely grateful for all your support and pray that God repays your offering. The Archdiocese of Suceava and Radauti will be distributing the required aid to the refugees who have made it over the border. They will then package the surplus into lorries, to be taken across the border into Ukraine, to the Archdiocese of Cernauti, to be distributed to the people who’ve stayed behind.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the appeal for essential items for Ukrainian refugees sheltering at Suceava in Romania. Your donations have now been collected from St Cuthbert’s, and are on their way to Romania. Please DO NOT leave any more items at St Cuthbert’s, as we have no means of sending them on. If you want to help the people of Ukraine, support the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal through CAFOD:
